My business partner and I somewhat hesitantly joined the Pod Works when it first opened, for the minimal amount of time we could. We both have offices and a lot of supplies that we couldn't bring to a coworking space, so we weren't sure if it would be a good fit for us. After a couple of weeks we increased our membership because it just felt so good. Because it's "neutral territory" for our kids, we have minimal problems with them playing together (I know you moms know what I'm talking about!) and we are able to actually hold a conversation and work. It gets us out of the house and to an "office space," and a physical change like that can often make you feel more legitimate in the work you do. Of course it's a group effort, but it HAS to be acknowledged that this is all thanks to Kayla. She has worked her butt off to create not only a space but a culture for women to pursue their passions while still keeping the prime focus on motherhood. Oftentimes Kayla is there when we are and she truly, truly, truly loves our kids and us, and the feeling is mutual. The Pod Works (and similar models) is really such a big step forward for female business owners, and I am thankful that I get to be a part of it.
